Welcome to K-9 Lifesavers

K-9 Lifesavers is an all-volunteer, approved 501(c)(3), private non-profit rescue group, dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, and other high-risk situations. We rescue dogs and puppies from high- kill shelters and high-risk situations in Georgia, West Virginia, the Carolina’s, Tennessee, and Kentucky, where dogs are only held anywhere from three to seven days before euthanasia.

ADOPT

K-9 Lifesavers is dedicated to finding homes for shelter dogs. We are an all volunteer organization, and provide loving care until each dog finds their forever home

VOLUNTEER

As an all-volunteer organization, K-9 Lifesavers is entirely dependent on the generosity of the community.

FOSTER

Our foster parents give dogs a second chance at life. Their work makes a smooth transition into adoptive homes possible.

Donate

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we depend on donations to help save dogs’ lives.

Help K-9 Lifesavers Replace Our Van

K-9 Lifesavers needs a van to save lives. We use our van to meet transport, take dogs for vetting, get dogs into foster homes, pick up donations and most importantly - get our dogs to adoption events. Our van now refuses to start every couple days, and repairs would be thousands and thousands of dollars. With 267,000 miles on it, the time has come to find a replacement, but we desperately need your help. Please help us make September a "new van" month, and help us keep saving lives!

Featured Dog - Donnie

Hi there potential adopters! My name is Donnie, and as you can see, Donnie has no problem posing for the camera. He loves to show off how handsome he is! Donnie is a friendly boy who loves to play with other dogs. He would love a family to call his own who can show him how great life can be!
