Sponsor a High Kill Shelter Dog and Help Us Save Them from Euthenasia

Every week, we are asked to save hundreds of dogs by our shelter partners. Sadly, we can only save a small fraction of the dogs that are sent our way. The majority of dogs we are asked to take are young, healthy, sweet, good with other dogs and people and ready-made family members. They would all find wonderful homes IF we could just find the space and resources to get them up here.

It costs us between $100-$150 to transport a dog from the south to the DC area and another $100-$150 to get them fully vetted and fixed (and that doesn’t even include heartworm treatments and medical emergencies). Every week, we would like to save just a couple more, IF WE ONLY HAD THE RESOURCES.

This is where you come in. Please, help us save more lives by making a tax deductible donation to help offset the cost to rescue one of these wonderful dogs and/or help with their extra medical bills. Below are a handful of amazing dogs that we would like to save this week and that are running out of time in overcrowded shelters. Please, donate to a specific dog and help us bring him/her to safety before their time runs out. Every donation will save the life of a specific animal and any donations over the amount needed will be applied to others in need.

Please, consider a tax-deductible donation today to help these animals. They deserve a family and forever home. Please be a LIFESAVER!

These two scruffy boys found themselves dumped in high kill shelter in NC. They both get along well with other dogs and we are confident they can find a home fast if we can get them to the area and fully vetted. They can share a kennel! So we just need to raise enough for one kennel transport and their vetting!

Widget was dumped in a rough shape by her "family". She has demodex mange and will need treatment with Revolution along with spay and thorough check up. She is on the skinny side and it is clear that she wasn't well loved. Despite that, the shelter swears hair tail always wags tentatively and she is a real love. Can you help us get her to safety and healthy?

Daisy is a petite, fluffy sweetheart who was dumped by her owners in high-kill shelter. She is little skinny and needs to gain weight and get some tlc, but she is a sweetheart. We are hoping to get her out but need your help in raising funds for her vetting as she currently has NONE.

Buddy might not have won the life lottery in the looks department - yes, that is a snuggle tooth, but the shelter swears that he is the nicest dog ever and deserves a chance. His owner dumped him and another doggie from the household  in high kill shelter in North Carolina, infested with fleas and in dire need of food and some TLC. We are hoping to get BOTH of them out. Please help us raise the money for his vetting and transport.

Freckles is a young boxer/pointer mix who was dumped in high kill shelter in NC because family didn't have time for a puppy. She is friendly, energetic and full of life. We are hoping to get her out while she is still in critical age for socialization and get this happy girl a happy ending.

Jet is a two year old jack russel that was dumped in high kill shelter in North Carolina. He has been very timid in the shelter but the staff says he warms up with some patience. Timid dogs tend to be euthanized quickly as they deteriorate in the shelter. Please, help us get him to safety and he would love to find a foster!!!
