Welcome to K-9 Lifesavers

K-9 Lifesavers is an all-volunteer, approved 501(c)(3), private non-profit rescue group, dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned dogs from high-kill shelters, and other high-risk situations. We rescue dogs and puppies from high- kill shelters and high-risk situations in Georgia, West Virginia, the Carolina’s, Tennessee, and Kentucky, where dogs are only held anywhere from three to seven days before euthanasia.

K-9 Lifesavers is dedicated to finding homes for shelter dogs. We are an all volunteer organization, and provide loving care until each dog finds their forever home

As an all-volunteer organization, K-9 Lifesavers is entirely dependent on the generosity of the community.

Our foster parents give dogs a second chance at life. Their work makes a smooth transition into adoptive homes possible.

As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, we depend on donations to help save dogs’ lives.

Featured Dog - Bear

Hi there potential adopters! My name is Bear, and as you can see from my pictures, I am super happy and excited to be sprung from that shelter place! I am an extremely charming and entertaining young man. I'm still a pup, so I'm very playful and mischievous, but I'm at the perfect age to learn new things! I love to play with other dogs, but sometimes other dogs don't enjoy my same enthusiasm for wrestling, so I'm working on my play manners. Come on out to an event and meet me so you can fall in love and be my new furever home! Click photo to learn more.
